Mansoor always wanted to write a book narrating his experiences about living in a black society and than contrasting it with living in a white society. He felt it would be an interesting racial portrait by a brown person.

He takes the reader into the dramatic life of independent Africa and then undergoing traumatic Canadian experience until he lands on the painful realities of life.
